My new obsession; oxfords, brogues and saddle shoes. If it’s cute, preppy and flat, I’m all over it. The key is all about finding the right pair. Just like a good pair of skinny jeans, once you have found the one you’ll be in love. I’ve been seeing this style pop up in more and more places, and is a timeless classic you can wear year round. It’s like the grown-up version of the Converse/Vans trend.

Oxfords are not just for prep school uniforms. They can be dressed up, down, paired with socks, or barefoot, and look GREAT for photos. Finding the right pair to work with your style is all part of the fun!!
+ Tip For a fresh summer look pair a polished brown pair of oxfords with your favorite cut-off denim, a loose blouse, and some gold accessories to dress up the final details. Don’t forget the white ankle socks!

+ Tip Brogues for guys! I love a good pair of high waters or cuffed straight legged pants with a sock-less shoe. Pair with a loose tee, or button down shirt. Simple, yet stylish. PS, I always think of [Unabashedly Prep] when it comes to good inspiration for how to wear Men’s Brogues.

+ Tip I LOVE this unique look paired with the classic Saddle Shoe. Interesting layers with a cuffed skinny jean is a perfect look for fall, school, or when you want to dress up your every day look.

+ Tip For guys, in fall/winter pair your skinny jeans with a vintage Oxford, tucked in button-down and a good peacoat. I’m just so in love with this mix of vintage/prep! Distressed jeans always look great paired with a nice pair of shoes.
