This session of Ty comes from Calgary, Alberta (yes Canada!) photographer Julie Miller of [Jewel Image]. I am so excited to feature more stylish dudes on salt&prep! What a great mix of stylish, fresh, and relaxed. Guys can NEVER go wrong with a well fitted suit and tie. Plus Ty really takes casual to the max with some great dark-wash denim, and colorful tops and jackets.
I know how tough it is for Canadian Photographers to explain “Senior Portraits” to high school graduates, but trust me, a professional photo shoot before or during your last year of high school is the PERFECT time to commemorate going from one chapter of your life to another. Way to go Julie for breaking out into such an awesome market of photography!
[Ty] is an amazing pianist and a fashion guru. I generally tell my teens not to wear clothing with name brands on the front but he didn’t own any! He is into all of the designer fashions. When we decided on a location for his shoot, he suggested we go to the nicest department store that Canada has to offer and see if we could get away with a few shots there. It was so much fun! The funny thing is that he was raised on a farm and has worked his whole life raising his own chickens and selling their eggs. I thought he’d want more of a country setting for his shoot but he is urban all the way!
